Where Can I Apply For Funding?

The State, through local authorities or social services, can contribute to, or cover, all the funds. However, if you have income and assets in excess of the current figure of £23,250, you may be required to cover the expenses of your own long-term care. Since this isn’t always the simplest decision, if you are considering care solutions for a friend or relative, ensure to contact your local social services. There are a few things you will need to enquire about, including a care needs assessment for the individual requiring care, as well as an assessment for you if you are caring for the person. A person’s rights to assessments depends on their requirements rather than their finances.

If you are unable to get funding for the person that requires care, you may need to speak directly to your selected care provider you have selected and pay them on receipt of an invoice.
